The quarterly skip will arrive on Friday 1st May 2020 and we have asked for it to be placed outside the Woodlands.. We expect that in the current circumstances the skip will be filled very quickly, so would ask everyone to be sensible and not overfill. In particular please place all rubbish inside the skip and do not allow anything to overflow onto the roadway or pavement. The skip is for garden and household waste items only and should not be used for building or commercial waste. The skip will be removed on Monday 4th May.
Resurfacing now on 4th-5th May
On Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th May we will be laying new tarmac as the final stage in the recent road improvements works. (This was originally planned to happen on 30-31 March but was postponed due the coronavirus outbreak.)
The areas to be resurfaced are:
• Main entrance: The whole road from Highbury Grove down to the second road hump that sits between number 9 and numbers 6-10. PLEASE NOTE that this is a longer stretch than the area where the works have taken place.
• The entire spur section leading into Aberdeen Road.
IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT THERE ARE NO CARS ANYWHERE in these areas on the 4th & 5th May. PLEASE DO NOT PARK in either area on these days.
These works will inevitably involve occasional disruption to traffic flows and short periods when one or other gate is blocked. The gate at the spur entrance to Aberdeen Road will be open throughout to help maintain entrance and exit flows for vehicles and to minimise disruption. There will always be vehicle access available at one or more gates throughout the resurfacing.
2020 AGM POSTPONED
The 2020 AGM (originally due to be held on 30th April) has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the social distancing restrictions now in place. We will advise residents of a new date as soon as practicable.
Change to obtaining parking permits
We are making a temporary change to the way we distribute parking permits outside of the renewal period. If you require a resident/visitor parking permit, please contact aberdeenpark@hotmail.com with proof of address (gas bill, phone bill, bank statement) and vehicle registration if appropriate. We will be in touch to get your permit to you.
We expect the renewal season for 2020/21 this summer to continue as normal.

Road Access and Repairs - 1st October 2018 for 2 weeks
From Monday 1st October for approximately 2 weeks one entrance to Aberdeen Park will be closed.

From Tuesday 2nd until Thursday 4th October there will be essential resurfacing work on Aberdeen Park starting at the second road hump from the main entrance (outside numbers 6-10 and 7) and continuing past the Highbury Centre all the way to the road hump nearest Seaforth Crescent (outside number 35 and 44).
This area must be clear of all parked vehicles from 6am Tuesday 2nd October until the traffic cones are removed, please.

Traffic will still be able to come and go. The Gates on the spur of Aberdeen Park and Aberdeen Road will be open
CCTV Installation
APMC is installing CCTV in the road with the intention of reducing crime and making the road safer for residents and visitors. There will be 6 cameras around the Park and they will be placed on lamp posts in such a way as to allow coverage of the pavements and road, but not private gardens or homes. The installation commenced on 24th July and should be completed by the end of the week. There will be a period of testing and then the system will go live by the end of August. The camera footage will be recorded on to a recording device but there is no live monitoring and the footage will be accessed only when an incident occurs and an approved request is received by the Board. APMC's CCTV policy will be made available on this website or can be obtained by request to cctv@aberdeenpark.com.
